Allen F. Black Jr’s entire adult life has been dedicated to bettering our communities and country. From serving in the US Marine Corps during both peace and war time, to dedicating long hours in local law enforcement agencies and working for the US State Department in various countries, Allen is well versed and experienced in many areas of instruction. He holds a Criminal Justice degree, however, his endless schools, training hours and hands on experiences, is what make him an exceptional instructor and mentor and a very valuable part of our team. He has conducted counter-insurgency warfare in other countries and has trained other men to do so. He has attended both Military and Civilian Tracking Schools, in which he has assisted in implementing and teaching the most predominate and professionally recognized tactical operations school in the world. He has done this for the military and law enforcement communities, many local government agencies as well as police departments.  Some of his training includes but is not limited to the following: certification in Scout, Tracker, and Wilderness Survival disciplines; course topics include Urban Escape and Evasion, Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE) training; Search & Rescue (SAR) tracking, primitive wilderness survival, winter survival, scout reconnaissance, animal trapping, booby traps, sniper field craft, camouflage, force protection, combat and pursuit tracking, counter and anti-tracking, animal tracking, hostile environment training, and land navigation. Derived from the legendary scouting, tracking, wilderness survival skills of Apache warriors, Allen teaches superior training for modern-day professionals and civilians who require or desire advanced outdoor skill sets to survive and thrive in today’s demanding world. 

Allen’s military and civilian sniper and tracking experience is structured into an instruction plan that is like no other. Allen’s list of accreditation schools, special seminars and certifications is endless.  Allen has trained with elite military units from all major branches of the U.S. military (SEALs, Rangers, Force Recon, SERE, etc.), as well as major Federal and State law enforcement units (FBI, Secret Service, SBI, US Marshals, etc.). He has trained with Larry Hartsell, world renowned hand to hand defensive tactics instructor, former student of Bruce Lee, and incorporates these techniques in his hand to hand combat training. Allen is an International Firearms Instructor and holds several NRA certifications to include Chief Range Safety Officer and Carry Conceal Instructor. 

Enlisting in the USMC in1988, he spent 9 years serving his country.  Subsequently, he served as a Corrections Officer/Police Officer/Instructor until 2005. In 2005 Allen was hired by the State Department to instruct and mentor officers in other countries. Allen also holds the title as a Close Protection/Personal Security Instructor where he has moved high ranking officials/dignitaries in several foreign countries. Allen returned home from overseas and is now serving as a Deputy Sheriff with Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
